 | About UsWanska: the Art of Decolonization is a talking circle open to all, natives and non-natives who wish to foster a healthy relationship between the first peoples and the descendants of the settlers. This talking circle is based upon traditional Cree culture of sharing in a circle where everyone is equal. Wanska is a Cree word for "arise with the sun" or awake your spirit. To awake our spirits, a smudge ceremony is part of the talking circle. This will help bring our spirits together as one.We are all in this together – and we are glad you are visiting our site.
